"I just got my 1541U case that Loriano built! it is a nice quality and fits my version 2 board perfect
i have the black one and it is a strong case , it will keep my 1541U safe"
"I received the case today and I'm very happy with it. As with most things, the real thing looks even better than on the pics."
"Mine showed up today (Oklahoma, USA). Fast! It's a great case. Thanks!"
"I received my cases last friday and i must say i am not let down.
The case is very beautiful and very strong. The pictures on Loriano's site don't to justice to this masterpiece.
I know that some consider the extra rubber feet a annoyance, but i can't think of a way that is more elegant.
Not without the price going up, or modding the C64.
Anyway, all that is left is to once again say thank you Loriano."
"Received mine today. Everything fits neatly and it's true, it looks great.
Perhaps it's an idea to start a topic: Where did you apply your 1541 Ultimate logo
? But seriously, I am contented very much."
"I assembled Loriano's case today and must admit that I am pretty blown away with the quality and design.
Everything fits together tight and precise. It feels extremely rugged and looks fantastic.
Loriano certainly had a lot of hurdles to deal with (the awkward size of the board, many differing opinions on what features are or aren't worth paying for, ect.)
and I think he ended up with a true masterpiece."
"My case arrived last week, and I think it's really awesome. It's so cool looking and very unique.
Bravo Loriano, and many thanks to Neil for keeping this project organized."
"I just got the 1541U case that Loriano built! Very nice quality and fits my version 4 board perfectly... plus it hooks up to my C64C well!
I have the white colored one and think it looks fantastic! It feels solid and makes me feel safe when plugging in or removing the cart!

"It looks pretty enough. The leds are in shadow, which makes them easier to see in a lighted room. It's very sturdy but surprisingly light.
I'm not concerned that moving the computer with the cartridge attached will cause any damage. The board is held in place really well.
The buttons are suitably easy to access, and I no longer have to worry about inadvertedly touching the parts while fumbling for them.
The case enters the cartridge port of both my classic C64 and my C128 without any hassles. It stands quite snugly against both their rears, too.
Those extra flaps to protect the protruding part of the board were well worth the cost and the unpleasant discussion at the time.
I bought the Black case to use mostly with my C64 of the pleasing brown color. I will also use it with my light-colored C128.
Having seen it with both, I think White would look better with the latter and probably with similar-colored C64C as well. Black is great with my C64.
Overall, it's a very nice case. I'm still not happy that the computers needed extra elevation to accommodate for it, but it's something I'll have to learn to live with.
Attaching the extra legs was fortunately at least a quick job, and the feet intended for the C64C were of the right height for use with the C128.
Definitely on the expensive side, but recommended if you can afford it."
