Review of 'Lethal II' from the disk magazine 'GameOverView', issue 4. Lethal II, like it's prequel from 1987 (this game was written in 1988, but sat on QLS's disks until 2004) is a Bounder clone with incredibly poor collision detection. There are a number of features, such as missiles whith which you can shoot oncoming enemies instead of avoiding them (ironically bound to the same button as jump, which means that every time you jump you lose one of your limited supply). It takes some time to appreciate this game, due to its pooe implementation. I was originally prepared to place this game in the same category as Collapsar, but it's really not that bad, once you learn to adjust for the collision detection. The question is how desparate are you for new Bounder levels? If the answer is 'very', you might get a lot of play out of this, but if the answer is 'not really', you'll most likely get frustrated fighting collision detection bugs, bland graphics, and some not brilliantly well thought outlevel design. Overall Score: 66%
